10:2 Designs Is More Than Just A Name

At 10:2 Designs, we make many different custom pieces, all by hand, which makes each and every item a unique piece of art.  What started out as a hobby and a passion, has slowly turned into a business which is now 10:2 Designs.

My wife (Jackie) and I often get asked what the "10:2" stands for in the name.  10:2 actually has two meanings to us at 10:2 Designs.  First of all, Jackie and I are faithful followers of Christ and we make it a goal of ours to honor Him in all things that we do.  In the book of Luke, Chapter 10, Verse 2 (10:2), Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few."   We strive to be the few that are willing to do the Lord's work.  But the name doesn't stop there for us.  On October 2 (10/2), 2016, my dad, Thomas Ochello, Jr,  was taken from us in the blink of an eye in a motorcycle accident.  My dad was a jack of all trades, and he especially loved woodworking.  Through my years with him, my dad taught me all that I know about working with wood, and he instilled in me the importance of doing the best that I can in everything that I do.  I do my best to make him proud with every piece that I make, and we honor him through our name.
